Can we use the pump when there's no sunlight?

Yes.
Connect the pump directly to the battery,
positive to positive and negative to negative,
Take caution: let the Volt of the battery matches with the Volt of the pump.
Our pump is DC pump, cannot pluck in to the house wire,
cannot use with the generator with AC output.
Use only the Battery with the same volt.

Let's talk about the "battery" a little more.
We've compared the panel with the rooftop collecting each drop of rain
into running water to keep it in the water tank,
the electricity collected from the panel we store it in the "battery".

The battery for solar cell power they call it "Deep Cycle" type.
There are some that need distilled water occasionally,
some need not,
some with jell in the place of water, maintenance free.
All the same "Deep Cycle" battery.
They are much heavier than the battery in your car for the same size.

Our tank can store water for 50 Liters, easy and we get the picture,
how much our battery can store "invisible" electricity, easy enough.
Take the Volt and multiply by the Amp, these 2 figure are given in the battery.

An example, one deep cycle battery is written, 12 V 200 AH,
so we take 12 and multiply by 200 = 2,400 Watts.
This battery can store 2,400 Watts.

50 Liters of water how much we can use,
we know because we see and we are used to it.
2,400 Watts, how much and how long we can use, is quite similar too,
and when we used to it, we will get the feeling of it.
It's fun also to use solar cell power.

In our water tank of 50 Liters, we know how much and how long
we can drink from it. It's obvious.

Electricity is invisible, but it is not difficult to know.

We eat water, electrical appliances eat electricity, more or less the same way.

Each will tell in number of "Watts, or W" (per hour).
Let's suppose a TV eats 140 W (per hour),
we use it with the battery of 2,400 W from our last post,
we can use it for 2,400 divide by 140 = 17.14... hours
Simple enough, see.
(How many Watts our TV, in our house that we watch everyday, eats
the electricity... getting the sense of using solar cell from everyday life.)

Let's continue our talk,
storing water from the rooftop into the tank is simple,
to store electricity from the panel into the battery is also simple,
we just need another helper to do this.

Imagine if you have to pump air into the tire,
especially if you do this by your hands,
there is certain "pressure" that you can feel it.

In the battery, there is certain electrical "pressure",
therefore, to pump electricity into the battery
we need certain "pressure", match with the battery, to do so properly.
The device we use for this is "Charger, or Charge Controller, or Controller.

In our sets, we direct wire the panel to the pump,
to minimize the cost and maximize mobility,
therefore, we don't include this charger nor battery.

Today, I've verified the test of our pump model 5sd-15, as shown in the picture,
200 Liters per minute, this pump is not at all second to the gasoline pumps,
this DC pump, the ability to work real as such,
because of the mono panel power and
the motor of the pump, together they work satisfactorily.
The price and the quality matches.

Every model of our pumps work in the same manner,
design by the same concept,
work real and get real water according to the spec.

Let's continue talking about the solar cell system.

After we store the electricity into the battery,
we will need another device called "Inverter",
to change the DC power from the battery into AC power for our usage.

(In our solar pump sets, we do not have the inverter, do not have controller,
to minimize the cost, for mobility, yet still work up to the spec)

In our sysytem, how much can we use we look at the inverter.
Generally, it will be 80% of the inverter capacity.
For example, inverter of 350 W, we can use electricity 280 W at the same time.

If our inverter is 600 W, therefore we can use 480 W,
and so on...

It's not complicate to understand the solar power system at all.

We can sum up briefly, that, in the solar cell power system, we'll have

-- the solar panel, to change sunlight into electricity,
-- Charger, to charge the electricity from the panel into...
-- Battery, the proper one is the "Deep Cycle" battery,
-- Inverter, to change the battery power into AC power for our usage.

(In our mobile pump sets, we emphasize on mobility and practicality,
we design the panel to match the power needed by the dc pump,
therefore, we don't need other devices in these sets,
as long as there is sunlight our pumps will work as promised.)

Today, without electricity life must be really burdensome.
Most of our electricity power come from burning the fossil fuel,
(technically, such as petroleum, natural gas, coal, non-reusable)
even in agriculture we depend very much on such fuel.

A small part is called "Alternative Energy, or Green Energy",
which does not burn the fossil fuel.
We can bring natural power, clean, inexhaustible, to generate
electricity power for our use.

Solar cell power is one of the "Alternative energy",
which is quite practical, easy to use from in the domestic to community,
and including in the agricultural work.

Let's just talk about these seemingly far away alternative energy,
just for fun to know, at least there's more than burning the oil.

"Wind", we use wind power long ago, world wide,
mainly to spin the windmill.
When the windmill rotate with the wind, then we use that energy
such as to draw water, to connect to another machine,
or to generate electricity.

Nature is powerful, if we could see, understand and learn,

Talking only at the domestic use,
alternating electricity, which works, today we have
the solar cell power and the wind turbine.
In some places both are used together,
there're details to play with, and useful too.

In agriculture, both are used quite effectively,
(such as our pump sets using solar power),

"The Sea" is also very powerful, many attempts to turn such power

rising and retrieving tide of the sea,
under deep sea pressure,
sea current- under current...

The fact that we turn to nature, to learn, is a promising sign,
for a more harmonious living.
